How To Save IPhone Pictures To Computer Mac
You can use Photos app to import photos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to Mac without using iCloud Photo Library. The following steps can also be used to import images from digital cameras and SD cards.
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on Mac. Importing photos to a Mac requires iTunes 12.5.1 or later.
  2. Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or digital camera to your Mac with a USB cable. If you're using an SD card, insert it into an SD slot on a Mac, or connect using a card reader.
  3. You may need to unlock your iOS device using your passcode. You may also see a request on an iOS device asking you to select Trust this Computer or not. Tap Trust to continue.
  4. On a Mac, the Photos app opens automatically. If not, open the Photos app.
  5. The Photos App will display an Import screen with all photos and videos on the connected device. If the Import screen does not automatically appear, click the Import tab at the top of the Photos app, or click the name of the device in the Photos drawer.
  6. To import multiple photo options, click the few that you want, then click Import Selected. To import all new photos, click Import All New Photos.
  7. Once the importing process has finished, the mailbox will ask you if you want to delete or save photos on your device. Click Remove Item to delete the photo, or click Save Item to save it on the device. If you select Save Item, you must remove it directly from the device when you want to remove it.
  8. Now you can disconnect devices from your Mac. If you're importing photos from an SD card or other USB device, unplug the device first.

Imported photos will appear in the Last Import album in the Photos app.
Photos and videos that are synced from your computer to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes can not be imported back to the computer.

You can import photos to your PC by connecting your device to a computer and using the Windows Photo Gallery:
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your PC. Importing photos to a PC requires iTunes 12.5.1 or later.
  2. Connect iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to PC with USB cable.
  3. You may need to unlock your iOS device using your passcode.
  4. You may also see a request on an iOS device asking you to select Trust this Computer or not. Tap Trust or Allow to continue.
  5. On A Windows 7, In the AutoPlay dialog box that appears, click Import pictures and videos using Windows.
  6. (Optional) To tag the pictures, type a tag name in the Tag these pictures (optional) box. By default, the folder name includes the date the pictures and videos are imported and the tag name.

  1. What if the AutoPlay dialog box doesn't appear?
  2. On a Windows 7, Open Computer by clicking the Start button The Start button, and then clicking Computer.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left side, under Computer, right-click your digital camera, and then click Import pictures and videos.
  4. (Optional) To tag the pictures, type a tag name in the Tag these pictures (optional) box.

  2. Connect iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to PC with USB cable.
  3. You may need to unlock your iOS device using your passcode.
  4. You may also see a request on an iOS device asking you to select Trust this Computer or not. Tap Trust or Allow to continue.
  5. On A Windows 8 and up, 
  6. Open the Photos app.
  7. Swipe in from the bottom edge to see the app commands. (If you're using a mouse, right-click within the app.)
  8. Select Import. (Import isn't available if you're looking at a single picture in full screen view.)
  9. Select the device you want to import from.
  10. The app automatically searches for all photos and videos that it hasn’t imported before and selects them. You can also swipe down on or click each photo and video you want to import or select Select all.
  11. Select Import. The photos and videos are saved in the Pictures folder in a subfolder named with the date (for example, 2013-09-10).

When you import a video from an iOS device to your PC, some videos may be improperly rotated in the Windows Photo Gallery. You can add the video to iTunes to play it in the correct orientation.
Photos and videos that you sync from your computer to your iOS device using iTunes can not be imported back to your computer.
